This community-based oral history project will engage southern Arizona residents in collecting and archiving residents’ memories and experiences of the Santa Cruz River and other waterways as part of existing efforts to mitigate drought. In partnership with public libraries, the UA team will provide training resources in oral history methods and community archiving. Oral histories gathered by local residents will be catalogued and stored in a living, community archive.
