Northern Arizona Water Leadership Institute
The Water, Society, and Policy Laboratory in partnership and collaboration with Arizona Water for All, the Environmental Defense Fund, and Water For People, has been working on developing and launching the Water Leadership Institute in Northern Arizona. The goals of this initiative are, to 1) foster a new generation of diverse leaders that are equipped to collaborate and engage across different perspectives and backgrounds, 2) highlight different pathways for water-related careers and forms of engagement in Northern Arizona, 3) provide networking and mentorship opportunities for rising leaders, and 4) provide a space to share knowledge and perspectives about water issues and water management in Arizona. An Advisory Board of water and leadership training experts from Northern Arizona is collaborating with the working group of institutions (above) to develop this program in relation to regional needs. The pilot Water Leadership Institute will be run in the Spring of 2026. If you would like to learn more, please contact AW4A’s Program Coordinator, Miriam Nelson (miriam.nelson@asu.edu)
