U.S. Program Manager at Water For People

Chris’s career has focused on the connection between community and environmental well-being. He manages Water For People’s U.S. Country Program, dedicated to improving sustainable access to safe drinking water and sanitation services through coalition and partnership strengthening, collective action and advocacy, and capacity building efforts. He believes that access to sustainable water services can improve and impact community health, access to educational opportunities, and economic well-being. Chris has worked on WASH and climate resilience projects internationally and domestically with roles ranging from program management to funding development, community engagement, as well as conducting research. Chris holds an M.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Arizona, where his research focused on transboundary watershed management, risk perception, and community adaptation to increasing flooding in the U.S./ Mexico border. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala from 2015 to 2017 working on community education, health, and environmental programs.
