Northern Arizona University
Uranium and arsenic mining across the Navajo Nation has left a legacy of contamination that continues to threaten water security for many communities. Building on Dr. Jani Ingram’s long-standing collaboration with the Navajo Nation, quarterly samples are collected from key sites at Coppermine in locations historically affected by uranium extraction and milling.
This project, led by Dr. Radonic at Northern Arizona, aims to better understand residential experiences with private water provisioning and different perspectives on water security in non-tribal water haul areas of Coconino County
The Northern Arizona AW4A team, led by Dr. Lucero Radonic, is in the process of conducting a Regional Landscape Analysis across the Colorado Plateau of Northern Arizona.
The Water, Society, and Policy Laboratory in partnership and collaboration with Arizona Water for All, the Environmental Defense Fund, and Water for People has been working on developing and launching the Water Leadership Institute in Northern Arizona
Imagine water leaders painting pictures of meanings of waterways along the banks of the Colorado River during a monitoring river trip. This is part of the oral history project on stories of water and water leadership led by Dr. Lisa J. Hardy in partnership with Mariessa Fowler and Erik Stanfield.
This project, led by Ashleigh M. Day, PHD, is focused around collecting data about northern Arizona residents' risk perceptions and experiences related to water insecurity, as well as residents' preferred media and trusted information sources for receiving future water-related communications.
